As you all probably have noticed, I bought a T-Mobile Sidekick 3. It's a really nifty device, but my god the biggest damn distraction on the planet.
Summer's been progressing and now school's very very close. I still got a 600+ page book to read! It's stuck in the mail system somewhere (I ordered it from Barnes and Noble). Soon as I get it, I'm going to be a reading fiend, so don't expect much from me this week.
Today also happens to be a birthday party for my little brother and I. All our family friends have been invited, should be a rather large party. Don't want to say that I'm greedy, but I can't wait to get presents haha.
Oh, and finally, I'm officially going to go to the Podcast Expo. I got to print business cards for The Shooby Show, I'm sooooo excited! I'll be staying at the Ontario Airport Doubletree Hotel at the price of $109 a night. That's $365.65 total with tax! Other than that, I'm going on United Airlines from SFO to ONT departing at 4:21pm on September 28th. It's going to be awesome.

Tomorrow's my fifteenth birthday and I'm excited as hell! Since Nabeel and I have birthdays one after another (today the 18th is actually his birthday), we decided to throw two co-birthday parties. On the first one (yesterday), we invited friends from middle school and I brought in a nice $180 :). Then, tomorrow, many more people from (OMG lol) high school are coming to my house. I hope I'll earn some money through that (I call it earning because it's been tough living for another year haha). Then another $250 is coming in from Podshow because I'm a finalist in the Podshow Earthlink Adchallenge.
Now, why all this talk about money? It's because I'm saving up for a T-Mobile Sidekick 3 on the side without taking money out of my paychecks for being the TWiT intern. See, I had a Sidekick II, but I dropped it and the screen broke. Stupid me didn't have insurance on it so I ended up getting a cheap RAZR V3 to replace it. Now the Sidekick 3 is out and I'm not eligible for any contract extensions, I'm going to have to pay the full $430. So $250 + $130 = $430...I can afford it soon as I get the Podshow check (which should be next week).
Yep, that's pretty much it, oh and here's how my broken Sidekick II looks like...I CAN'T WAIT TILL I'M 15 TOMORROW!
Well it's a lazy sunday afternoon in the wonderful city of San Jose, CA. It's 4:35pm and I'm still in my pajamas (and wearing my really old Alaska shirt mind you). I woke up like any other weekend morning around 10:30am to get ready for Leo's KFI show in order to take shownotes, and my God the first call of the morning was by the most oblivious woman on the planet. She just would not allow Leo to speak. Why the hell did she call then?!
That went on normally, and then I e-mailed Leo about a microphone he said he'd give to me. It's a really nice MXL microphone that he had laying around. I'm really grateful to have such a nice employer and I couldn't thank him enough. However, it's a really heavy microphone (that even comes with an aluminum case) and he would rather give it to me in person. As of now, I'm trying to set up a date to go up to San Francisco and do that. I'm sooooooo giddy! Within the next couple weeks, I'll have a nice mixer (Alesis Multimix 8USB) and a nice microphone for my podcast.
Yesterday, my little brother threw a tiny early-birthday party because all his close friends are going on vacation next week. As I sat on the side making snide comments about the stupidity of 10-year olds, they ate pizza, went to Blockbuster (and rented some Spongebob videogame...blech), and ate ice cream from Marble Slab. While they played videogames, I managed to play some minesweeper...good times.
